Transforming
ISR Data & Analysis

Alliance is the world’s first open source software for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) data sharing and discovery. By extending Distributed Data Framework (DDF) capabilities, Alliance supports international standards for discovery and retrieval of data across thousands of intelligence systems. Gain geospatial awareness. Enhance your collaboration. Make smarter, more effective decisions at mission speed.

The World
At Your Fingertips

Urgent missions require innovative solutions. Alliance was built for enhanced collaboration and improved decision making regardless of where your team is located. From the tactical edge to the national enterprise, Alliance makes it easy for analysts to search, retrieve, share and make sense of massive amounts of ISR data quickly and securely.

Designed for ISR data sharing and discovery, Alliance provides a powerful query interface that enables users to construct precise queries, define the criteria of the information desired, and quickly retrieve the information from across the enterprise and beyond. Alliance integrates out-of-the-box with many popular ISR data formats and service interfaces. What’s more, it’s incredibly secure as it currently powers several U.S. intelligence programs. By using DDF open source technology, the system can be deployed at scale, and an entire ecosystem of capabilities can be developed quickly and shared between enterprises. Alliance enables rapid integration to get data where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.

Built on top of
Octo’s DDF Capabilities

DDF is an open source, search and discovery application that abstracts services and business logic from underlying data structures to enable rapid integration of new data sources and robust geospatial capabilities. Alliance extends the ISR capabilities of DDF a step further to change the way agencies ingest and analyze data. As a result, Alliance has demonstrated success over five years of deployment in enterprise and austere environments.

Experience the Benefits

NATO CSD Interoperability

NATO Standard ISR Library Interface (NSILI) (STANAG 4559) provides support for NATO standard Intelligence Discovery and Retrieval, and is compatible with multiple editions and implementations of Coalition Shared Data Server (CSD).

NSIF + NITF Imagery Support

NATO Secondary Image Format (STANAG 4545) enables analysts to ingest and catalog NSIF and NITF 2.1 imagery, and build data-rich records for discovery and retrieval.

Full Motion Video Processing

NATO Digital Motion Imagery Standard (STANAG 4609) empowers teams to ingest and catalog FMV clips and extract KLV metadata for sophisticated analysis.

GMTI Ingest & Index

NATO Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) Format (STANAG 4607) helps analysts ingest and catalog NATO GMTI while making results discoverable and accessible across the entire enterprise.

Alliance is an out-of-the-box solution that can be easily deployed at scale for immediate and long term impact.

Department of Defense

DCGS Integration Backbone

The U.S. Military developed the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Integration Backbone (DIB) to make intelligence products visible, accessible, understandable, trusted, and interoperable between the seven DCGS programs operated by the United State Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, SOF, and the Intelligence Community. Since each service has its own intelligence collection capabilities and Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) capabilities, a system was needed for secure content discovery and retrieval both within and between programs. Thousands of processing nodes are required to support operations from the tactical edge to the national enterprise. Furthermore, coalition partners including the Five Eyes community, NATO, and various Bilateral and Multilateral sharing agreements drive a need for an ITAR free, cost-effective means for intelligence sharing.
